Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assemble an upright piano efficiently with accuracy in small space and production equipment by assembling a plural kinds of units separately, and then connecting these units to one another.
SOLUTION: An upright piano is divided into a support into UB, a sound plate unit US, a frame unit UF, a string unit UW, an interior unit UM, a case unit UC and a pedal unit UP. These units are separately assembled and then connected to one another. A support assembly 5 constituting the support unit UB, for instance, is assembled using a specified form. The constituent members of the support assembly 5, that is, an outer support 1a, an inner support 1b, a base 2, a box 3 and a cross beam 4, are inserted in the form and clamped to the inner surface of the form by a clamp or the like so as to be positioned on the basis of the inner surface of the form. In this state, these constituent members are connected to one another.
