Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent water streams from escaping downward just under the bottom surface of a casing, effectively generate thrust by providing guide wanes for the inner side of a discharging port in such a way that discharging streams are efficiently adjusted to be horizontal.
SOLUTION: This propulsion engine is formed out of a casing 3 capable of being turned around within a horizontal plane, a water intake 23 provided for the center of the bottom surface 3e of the casing 3, an impeller 16 provided for a place above the intake 23, a diffuser 17 communicated with the intake 23, a pressure chamber 24 communicated with the diffuser 17, and of a discharging port 22 which is provided for the bottom surface 3e of the casing 3 communicated with the pressure chamber 24. In this case, guide wanes 22a are provided for the discharging port 22, and the discharging guide vanes 22a are so disposed as to be inclined by an inclined angle respectively, by which a jet stream from the discharging port 22 will be in parallel as much as possible with the bottom surface 3e of the casing 3.
