An uprising assist device 10 for assisting motions of a user who uprises from a sitting posture includes: a sitting part 23 where the user sits down; support lifts 19, 79 for raising the sitting part 23; and a sitting position movement means for moving the sitting part 23 with respect to the support lift 19 to the direction in front of the user.
