Abstract:
To obtain a urethane copolymer from a nonequivalent reactive diisocyanate monomer and two kinds of diol monomers to be effectively reacted with, and a polyurethane having various refractive indexes by carrying out a monomer sequence control.
This urethane copolymer is represented by formula (R1 and R2 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a 1-10C alkyl group; R3 and R4 are each independently a bifunctional alcohol residue; n is 1-10; l and m are each an integer of 1-10,000). This optical material is obtained by using the urethane copolymer.
