Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a urine absorbent for pet animals capable of preventing a tray from filthiness with a urine by dividing a fluid absorbing core with a fluid impermeable or fluid a hardly permeable sheet in the vertical direction and covering the whole with a fluid permeable sheet so as to block the urine from reaching the bottom of the tray by the dividing sheet.
CONSTITUTION: This urine absorbent 1 for pet animals comprises packing a fluid absorbing material 52 as a core and covering it by a fluid permeable sheet 50, bisecting the core in the vertical direction with a fluid impermeable sheet 53 or a fluid hardly permeable sheet. The urine absorbent is made by forming many recessed spots 51 on the fluid permeable sheet 50 such as nonwoven fabric, filling these recessed spots with the fluid absorbing material 52, bonding the filled sheet with the fluid impermeable sheet 53 such as a fluid impermeable plastic film, to obtain a sealed fluid absorbing material body 54, mutually superposing and bonding the two sealed fluid absorbing material bodies 54 at the surfaces of the sheet 53 and cutting the resultant product.
