In this method for performing the USB non-standard communication by using a packet whose size is larger than USB standard MaxPacket Size between USB apparatus for normally performing USB data communication by using USB standard based packet size, the change of software or the minimum change of hardware is performed so that when a USB host 400 is connected to a USB device 407, or when enumeration is processed, whether or not they are apparatuses corresponding to the communication method can be decided. Also, the USB host 400 and the USB device 407 are respectively provided with buffer sizes necessary for the USB non-standard communication.
