Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a USB standard compliant receptacle connector capable of holding a USB plug connector stably.SOLUTION: In a USB standard compliant receptacle connector 2 having a shell 4 provided with a lock portion 12b for which a USB standard compliant USB plug connector can be fitted or removed in the fitting direction, and covering and holding a second contact and a second insulation material, in a direction for blocking unfit for a plug shell, an electrical connection 14 and a second fitting portion for fitting to a first fitting portion, the lock portion is provided near the tip of a spring 12 extending in the fitting direction, the relationship of the center point of the width in the pitch direction, i.e., the second contact arrangement pitch direction of the root 12a of the spring, and the center point of the width in the pitch direction of the lock portion is such that the center point of the root is arranged farther from or closer to the center line of the width in the pitch direction of the shell, than the center point of the lock portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
