Abstract:

To provide a method of using a composition by which growth and proliferation of cells are controlled to prevent disintegration of beads, leak of the cells and subsequent immunity response, a method of using these compositions for treating diseases, and a composition and a member that can be embedded.

A method for inhibiting proliferation of a plurality of proliferating cells that retains cells in an alginate matrix containing an alginate polymer and strontium, and a member that includes the matrix on the external surface and can be embedded are provided.
