Abstract:
To provide the use of austenitic stainless steel in the application requiring coking resistance.
For providing an apparatus or the element of an apparatus with improved coking resistance, the austenitic stainless steel has a composition containing ≤0.15% C, 2 to 10% Mn, ≤2% Ni, ≤4% Cu, 0.1 to 0.4% N, ≤4% Cu, 10 to 20% Cr, ≤1% Si, ≤3% Mo and ≤0.7% Ti.
