Abstract:
To provide a thickener suitable for organic solvent-containing systems.
The use of the following copolymer based on an alkylamidoalkylsulfonic acid as a thickener in an organic solvent-containing composition. The copolymer substantially comprises (a) 1 to 50 wt.% of repeating structure units represented by formula (1) or (b) 1 to 50 wt.% of a mixture of repeating structure units represented by formula (1) with repeating structural units represented by formula (2), (c) 49.99 to 98.99 wt.% of repeating structure units represented by formula (3), and (d) 0.01 to 8 wt.% of a cross linked structure originated from a monomer having at least two olefinic double bond.
