Title:
USE OF CORE-SHELL(-SHELL) PARTICLE IN BINDER JET METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017226219
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a 3D print, especially a 3D print with a binder jet method shape.SOLUTION: Particulate material in a powder bed binds with a printed binder to form a three-dimensional article. The particulate material may be an inorganic material such as sand or a metal powder, or a particulate organic material such as polymethacrylate or polyamide. To achieve this, polymethacrylate can take, for example, a shape of a dispersion polymer, i.e. a bead polymer. More specifically, the material is related to a powder bed composition containing core-(shell-)shell particles for 3D printer, the composition being different from one by prior art in that the core-(shell-)shell particles can be swelled by contacting with a binder during printing operation.SELECTED DRAWING: None
