Abstract:

To provide a method for inhibiting angiogenesis or treating vascular malformation in a mammal.

The method for inhibiting angiogenesis in a mammal comprises the step of administering to the mammal Eph receptor antagonist in a dose effective to inhibit angiogenesis in the mammal. In several embodiments of the method, the mammal is human, the antagonist combines with an Eph receptor, the antagonist contains an antibody, and the antibody combines with an EphB4 receptor.
