To provide a new coating for masking the taste of oral pharmaceutical preparations, from which the defects of the prior arts are excluded.
This coating comprises (a) poly(vinyl acetate), (b) a hydrophilic additive, (c) other commonly used coating components and, when necessary, (d) an physiologically compatible acid.
