Abstract:
To provide use of a composition which includes biodegradable microparticles with an entrapped or adsorbed antigen, in combination with a submicron oil-in-water emulsion.
The composition comprises a submicron oil-in-water emulsion, and a selected antigen entrapped in, or adsorbed to, a biodegradable microparticle. There is provided a method of immunization which includes administering to a vertebrate subject (a) the submicron oil-in-water emulsion, and (b) a therapeutically effective amount of the selected antigen entrapped in or adsorbed to, the biodegradable microparticle.
