PURPOSE: To provide a use state display system for a film which is for accurately displaying the use state of a film cartridge side and composed of a camera and a film cartridge.
CONSTITUTION: The system is provided with a film feeding means composed of a motor 50 and a fork 45 to which rotation is transmitted via gears G1-G4 on the side of the camera and further, a display member for displaying the use state of the film so that the display member can be rotated integrally with a spool driven by the fork 45 on the side of the film cartridge not shown by the figure. On the camera side, an encoder 42a for converting the rotational amount of the shaft 50a of the motor into a pulse signal and outputting it is further provided. The number of the pulses of the pulse signal is detected to measure the rotational amount of the spool and the display member is stopped in a fixed position. Thus, the use state of the film cartridge can be accurately displayed without being affected by irregularities in the rotation of the fork in the least.
