Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pharmaceutical composition, especially for topical application, for treating skin reddening of neurogenic origin, especially rosacea and pudic erythema by using a substance P antagonist as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This composition contains a substance P antagonist as an active ingredient. The substance P antagonist is preferably sendide of the formula as a peptide, a quinuclidine derivative, an alkoxy and/or aryloxytetrazolylbenzofuan carboxamide, N,N'-bis[bis(3,5- dimethylbenzyl)]ethylenediamine, etc. The substance P antagonist is preferably compounded in an amount of 0.0001-0.1 wt.% based on the total amount of the composition. The composition is preferably further formulated with active agents such as amino acids, tocopherols, a decongestant and an antibacterial agent.
