Abstract:

To obtain the subject composition effective for treating psychomotor such as Parkinson's disease, deficient schizopherenics, alcoholism and mood swing and psychointellectual disorder, comprising sulbutiamine.

Sulbutiamine is optionally mixed with an inert, nontoxic and pharmaceutically permissible excipient to give a medicine composition. The composition is used in a form suitable for oral administration, parenteral administration, percutaneous administration, administration through nasal cavity and rectum and perlingual administration, such as tablet, capsule, suppository and percutaneous patch. A dose depends on an age of patient, administration route, properties of disease to be treated, etc., and, is, for example, preferably 400-800mg daily by oral administration. By administering the composition, psychomotor and psychointellectual disorder characterized by behavioral response, retardation of mental response, inactivity and depression requiring systematic mobilization of recognition and metal concept are treated.
