Abstract:
To provide a method for economically producing lyocell products from a pulp containing hemicellulose usually removed.
The method for producing lyocell products comprises making a dope from the pulp and forming lyocell products from the dope, wherein the pulp is obtained from low specific gravity wood provided by thinning operations and unbleached, comprises at least 7% by weight hemicellulose and has a viscosity less than about 32cP, a copper number less than about 2, a weighted average fiber length less than 2.7mm and a coarseness less than 23mg/100 m. The products are produced by one of meltblowing, centrifugal spinning, spun bonding and dry-jet wet.
