To provide a V-belt manufacturing method capable of vulcanizing an unvulcanized rubber after the air in the unvulcanized rubber is discharged forcibly and capable of manufacturing a V-belt in a good shape.
An unvulcanized rubber sheet, tensile ropes and the unvulcanized rubber sheet are laminated in this order to form a cylindrical unvulcanized molded body. This unvulcanized molded body is cut in round slices in a predetermined width and both side surfaces thereof are obliquely cut to form an unvulcanized belt molded body 5 having an almost trapezoidal cross section while the unvulcanized belt molded body 5 is heated and vulcanized under pressure in a vulcanizing mold 7 having a tooth mold 6 formed thereto to manufacture the V-belt. In the initial stage of this vulcanization, the pressure applied by the vulcanizing mold 7 is raised and lowered. By raising and lowering the pressure applied to the unvulcanized belt molded body 5, the air contained in the unvulcanized belt molded body 5 can be discharged forcibly.
