To improve driving force transmission performance and to miniaturize a transmission part by using a cogged V-belt with high curving properties in a V-belt type continuously variable transmission for a vehicle of a power unit with the internal combustion engine and the belt-type continuously variable transmission, that transmits a driving force from an internal combustion engine to a driving wheel by changing the speed by a driving pulley, a driven pulley, and the V-belt arranged between them.
Both half bodies of the driving pulley as well as both half bodies of the driven pulley are formed of an aluminum material, and a thin hard chromium plating layer is arranged on a contact surface between each of the pulleys and the V-belt. The V-belt is made as the cogged V belt consisting of a core wire and wave shape cogs made of a rubber composition formed over and under it.
