Abstract:
To provide V-containing non-heat treated steel by which, even if refining treatment after hot working is omitted, stable hardness distribution with minimal variability can be obtained regardless of heating temperature at hot working and also, as an impact value at room temperature in the case where a V-notch test piece of 10 mm width is used, at least about 12J/cm2 toughness can be obtained.
The V-containing non-heat treated steel has a composition which consists of 0.30 to 0.60% C, 0.05 to 0.7% Si, 0.7 to 2.0% Mn, 0.035% P, 0.005 to 0.10% S, 0.07 to 0.5% Cr, 0.020% Al, 0.006% N, 0.05 to 0.40% V and the balance Fe with impurities and in whichV and N contents satisfy V(%)+30N(%)0.375% and Ti among the impurities is made to 0.005%.
