Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V-ribbed belt to improve bend fatigue properties through the decrease of the thickness of a belt and be used for a serpentine drive.
SOLUTION: A V-ribbed belt 1 comprises a stretch part 2; a cushion rubber part 5 in which core wires 4 are embedded along the longitudinal direction of a belt; and a compression part 6 positioned adjacently to the cushion rubber part 5 and having a plurality of ribs 7 extending peripherally of the belt. The core wire 4 is formed of an adhesion-treated cord with a total denier of 2,700-3,300 produced by twisting a polyester fiber filament group consisting mainly of ethylene-2 and 6-naphthalate.
