Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a V-ribbed belt which excels in resistance against crack, heat, lateral pressure, and bending, prolongs its service life greatly, and reduces noise.
CONSTITUTION: It is a V-ribbed belt which consists of a bonded rubber layer 3 in which a core wire 2 is embedded along the direction of belt length and a compressed rubber layer 4 which has a plurality of rib sections 7 which extend along the direction of belt length. A rubber composition in which minute fiber reinforcing rubber in which nitrile hydride rubber having the same quality as or similar quality to rubber is graft-combined with polyamide fiber whose diameter is 1.0μm or less is added to nitrile hydride rubber in which more than 80% or carbon double bonds are hydrogeneated is provided at a tip 8 of the rib section. A rubber composition which contains short fibers having larger diameter than that of the polyamide fiber in the nitrile hydride rubber is further used in the other region 9 of the rib section.
