Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a device for cutting a side face of a low edge V belt into a V-shape simply and accurately.
CONSTITUTION: A V-shape cutting device of a low edge V belt comprises a belt running section 1 for running a belt X, a belt working section 2 for cutting the side face into a V-shape, and a reciprocating mechanism 3 for making the belt working section 2 and the belt X approach each other. A normal rake angle is minus and a true rake angle is plus. A pair of milling cutters 5 wherein an inclination angle of a circular cone to be formed by blades with the rotation of the milling cutters 5 is the same as an inclination angle of a V-shape which cuts the side face of the belt X are arranged coaxially so that the blades face each other.
