Abstract:

To compactly arrange a sequential turbocharger in a V-type internal combustion engine.

This V-type internal combustion engine 1 formed with a pair of cylinder banks 22 arranged in the upper side of a crankcase 21 at a predetermined angular interval includes: a first turbocharger 40 having a first turbine 41 interposed in an exhaust passage 3 and a first compressor 42 interposed in an intake passage 4, and arranged between the pair of cylinder banks; and a second turbocharger 50 having a second turbine 51 interposed downstream of the first turbine in the exhaust passage and a second compressor 52 interposed in the intake passage, and arranged adjacent to the cylinder banks on the outside of the pair of cylinder banks.
