Patent Searching and Data

Title:
VEGETABLE FULL-LENGTH cDNA AND UTILIZATION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005185101
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a vegetable complete-length cDNA and uses thereof.

Rice full-length cDNAs of 28,694 clones are isolated. Among them, 21,596 clones (75.86%) are annotated through homology searches. The homology is held by 18,900 clones (64%) of genes (27,288 clones) predicted from a genomic sequence of Arabidopsis thaliana. The full-length cDNA clones fulfill an important role in annotation or determination of exon and intron in a correct gene coding region or comprehensive expression analysis or proteome analysis on the transcription level. The full-length cDNAs have industrial usefulness such as creation of plant bodies having characters different from those of the wild type by expression or suppression of functions in the plant bodies.
