Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum breaker capable of performing a smooth flow of water and air within a drain channel connecting a drain port of a water receiver with a water storage tank.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a vacuum breaker comprising a main body part having a water inlet port, a water discharging port, a water flow passage communicating these ports and a surrounding atmosphere inlet port communicating the water flow passage with an external part; a valve arranged in the main body part, communicating the water inlet port with the water discharging port when water is flowed and for communicating the water flow passage with the surrounding atmosphere inlet port when water is not flowed; a water receiver for receiving water overflown out of the surrounding atmosphere inlet port; a drain port opened at the bottom surface of the water receiver to which a drain passage for draining water is connected; and helical flow generating means for making a water flow at a downstream side of the drain port into a helical flow.
