To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of being easily discharged the static electricity, generated upon cleaning, to a cleaning object surface without being discharged to the operator.
A discharge section 31 with the bottom exposed, is formed in a plate-like with a conductive material at one rear side on the bottom of a plastic laterally-lengthy box-like case with a suction opening 22. At the almost rear center of a case body 21, a connecting tube 23 is set to couple with No.2 metal pipe 13 capable of moving into and out of No.1 plastic extension tube 11 to be connected via a hose to the main body of the electric cleaning machine. A cover 32 sectioning a wiring room 33 in the connection tube 23, is set along the longitudinal direction on the bottom of the inside surface. The wiring room 33 is provided with a terminal 38 to be connected to the No.2 tube 13 at one end, the other end being provided with a lead 37 to be connected to the discharge section 31. At cleaning, the static electricity to be charged into a plastic suction opening 20 and the No.1 tube, is discharged into the cleaning object surface through the discharge section 31 to prevent the operator from feeling such a discomfort as pain or shock.
