This vacuum cleaner having a cleaner body 1 having a dust collecting chamber 6 and a motor-driven air blower chamber 7 for housing the motor-driven air blower 12, a flexible hose having on one end a connecting part 21 connected to a connecting port 10 of the cleaner body 1, an extension pipe connected to a hand side operation part arranged in the other end part of the hose, a sucking tool connected to the extension pipe and a refluxing passage B for refluxing exhaust air of the motor-driven air blower 12 to the sucking tool, is characterized by arranging a filter 54 in a downstream position of the motor-driven air blower 12 of the refluxing passage B.
