To provide a vacuum cleaner having no restriction on disposition of thermosensitive element or the like and controlling a motor fan to secure the safety.
The vacuum cleaner includes the motor fan 1 for sucking dust, an air flow rate sensing means 2 for detecting air flow rate to a dust collecting chamber for collecting the sucked dust, an input control means 3 for controlling the motor fan 1, and an input operation means 4 for outputting a control signal to the input control means 3 by output from the air flow rate sensing means 2. When the output from the air flow rate sensing means 2 is higher or lower than a predetermined range even if a predetermined time passes, the input operation means 4 does not output the control signal and stops the motor fan 1. Accordingly, the vacuum cleaner has no restriction on disposition of the thermosensitive element or the like and secures the safety of the motor fan by the sensing of the air flow rate to the dust collecting chamber.
