The handy cleaner 2 includes a control circuit board 30 for controlling charge/discharge with respect to the lithium-ion battery while monitoring a voltage and a temperature of cells constituting the lithium-ion battery, and the battery pack 20 is stored inside a battery pack storage part 19 in the body case 3. Therefore, the lithium-ion battery can be electrically and mechanically protected.
