To provide a vacuum cleaner which allows for a smooth rotating operation of a hand operation part in a horizontal direction while suppressing damages of an electric wire over a hose member and the hand operation part rotatable with respect to it.
To a hand pipe 22 included in a hand operation part 21 of a dust suction hose 5, a rotary pipe 6a included in a hose member 6 in which an electric wire 12 is wired is connected in a rotatable and retained state, by a connection member 51 screwed to the hand pipe 22. A terminal part of the electric wire 12 pulled out from the hose member 6 is formed into an U shape and wired to a wring chamber S formed between the rotary pipe 6a and the hand pipe 22 put thereon, and the terminal part is connected to an electric component such as an electric wire connector 43 disposed inside the hand operation part 21. A guide cylinder 55 both upper and lower ends of which are respectively opened is formed integrally with the connection member 51. The lower end opening of the guide cylinder 55 is made to face the wiring chamber S from an upper part, and the terminal part of the electric wire 12 is made to pass through the guide cylinder 55.
