PURPOSE: To obtain the subject cooker, having a far infrared ray emitting means in the interior of a vessel with a vacuum suction means and capable of preventing dripping phenomena of frozen foods without deteriorating surface layer parts of a thawed material and thawing frozen perishables in a short time.
CONSTITUTION: A vacuum cooker obtained by installing a far infrared ray emitting means 4 in the interior of a vessel 1 having an openable and closable lid 2 capable of airtightly shielding an opening (1a) and a vacuum pump 13 connected through a solenoid valve 16 under a partition plate 7, providing frames 10 on both sidewall parts of a thawing chamber 8 and placing frozen materials on a shelf plate 11 and thawing the frozen materials at, e.g., 10W0.10Torr vacuum degree, while heating the materials with far infrared rays.
