To provide a vacuum degassing system that achieves a desired high vacuum atmosphere in the system and maintains the high vacuum atmosphere without using a vacuum evacuation device with strong suction capability and that also has excellent dust collection properties.
The vacuum degassing system 10 comprises a vacuum degassing tank T, a vacuum evacuation device E, a piping system L which connects the vacuum degassing tank T and the vacuum evacuation device E, and a dust separator 1 which separates and removes dust from exhaust gas, wherein the dust separator 1 includes a movable collision plate with which inflow exhaust gas collides and which also freely changes the angle thereof. The vacuum degassing system 10 further includes: a control section 3 that adjusts the angle of the collision plate and controls a degree of opening thereof from full closure to full open; and a vacuum degree sensor 2 that detects the degree of vacuum, wherein the degree of opening is controlled when the control section 3 turns the collision plate based on detection data from the vacuum degree sensor 2.
