To conduct quickly dewaxing of a material to be treated and, moreover, to prevent effectively re-contact of binder vapor with the material after the dewaxing.
In a vacuum dewaxing-sintering furnace, a reduced pressure atmosphere is brought about inside a tight box 1 by exhausting gas therefrom while introducing a very small quantity of gas outside the tight box 1, at the time of dewaxing. After the dewaxing, a binder leaking out from the tight box 1 at the time of the preceding dewaxing is exhausted or drained from a low position inside a furnace body 11 and thereby the inside of the furnace body 11 is degasified. Accordingly, a material to be treated can be treated quickly at the time of dewaxing and the binder remaining inside the furnace body 11 can be discharged outside in a state of a liquid phase or a vapor phase after the dewaxing, after a clean atmosphere inside the tight box 1 is secured with priority.
