To provide a vacuum forming machine for an interior material dispensing with pre-treatment for non-bonding to a base material area not to be bonded or to a mold surface area to which a foam layer is directly set in bonding the foam layer coated with a heat-melting adhesive for a skin material, to a base material.

The vacuum forming machine for the interior material comprises a projecting vacuum suction mold 18 for the base material, to which the base material with an intake passage is set, and a recessed vacuum suction mold 7 for the skin material having a mold surface 7b corresponding to the surface shape of the whole skin area. A skin 11 is joined, and a flat skin material 10 with a thermoplastic foam layer 12 coated with the heat-melting adhesive 13 is heat-treated and set to the base material. In this state, mold clamping and vacuum suction from both molds are performed to bond the foam layer 12 to the base material and to shape the skin material 10. A cooling mechanism 20 for cooling the non-bonded base material and mold surface area to the extent of not bonding the foam layer 12 is built in a portion of the projecting vacuum suction mold 18 for the base material taking up the non-bonded base material to which the foam layer 12 is not to be bonded and the mold surface area.
