Abstract:
To reduce consumption of motive power, while suppressing grow in size and increase in cost of a vacuum pump.
Main pump chambers 51 to 55 and main rotors 23 to 27 constitute a main pump 49. An auxiliary pump chamber 33 and auxiliary rotors 34, 35 constitute an auxiliary pump 50 smaller in displacement than the main pump 49. Rotations of the main rotors 23 to 27 feed gas from an intake port 171 side to a main exhaust port 181 side. Rotations of auxiliary rotors 34, 35 make the auxiliary pump chamber 33 suck gas of a sub-exhaust chamber 551 of the main pump chamber 55, and then the gas is discharged to a connecting flange 47 and an auxiliary exhaust pipe 48.
