PURPOSE: To facilitate assembling of a vacuum pump, by making a gas inducing port to open on the inside wall of a cylindrical body of the pump and on the intake side from a centrifugal blower which is located between the intake port and the exhaust port of the cylindrical body.
CONSTITUTION: The inside wall on the exhaust port 3 side of a cylindrical body 1 is formed to shape a cone, and a centrifugal blower 4 is rotatably installed therein. A reservoir 8 is provided ringwise around the outside of the inside wall 7 of the cylindrical body 1 and on the intake port 2 side from the centrifugal blower 4, the reservoir 8 being communicated with the inside of the cylindrical body 1 by gas inducing ports 9 formed diameter-symmetrically on the inside wall 7. If gas is induced from the gas inducing ports 9, the gas is discharged by the centrifugal blower 4, the other gas in a vacuum vessel at the intake side 2 being also exhausted. Due to the above construction, a back-up pump can be eliminated and the assembling of the pump can be facilitated.
