PURPOSE: To surely separate sewage and air from each other and prevent sewage from flowing out from an outlet opening by separating air and sewage flowing into a tank by an inlet device from each other utilizing the kinetic energy of the sewage, and discharging the air from the outlet opening.
CONSTITUTION: Sewage and air flowing in from the sewage pipe 10 of an aircraft or the like are separated from each other by gravity difference in an inlet opening 34, sewage flows into a tank 12, meanwhile, air collides to a deflector plate 40 to separate floating sewage mist from air, flows downward, next rises upward to enter a dome structural part 32. At this time, further separating the sewage mist, air becomes a swirling flow through flaps 62. The swirling flow enters an outlet opening 36 through an inlet port 52 and a duct 54, after separating sewage mist by centrifugal force, it is sucked and exhausted from an outlet duct 48. Further sewage mist is recovered from a drain passage 58 into the tank 12, and the inside of the dome structural part 32 and the outlet opening 36 are washed by spray nozzles 64, 66.
