To provide a vacuum steam thawing machine safely sterilizing up to details after using without separately requiring a mixing bulb.
This vacuum steam thawing machine has a decompressing means 3 and 4 to decompress a treatment tank 1 holding a wagon 20 carrying a product W to be thawed and sealed, and a steam supply means 8 and 9 to supply steam to the decompressed treatment tank. The thawing machine has such a mechanism that the treatment tank from which the product to be thawed is taken out after a thawing process is decompressed with the decompressing means, supplied with steam with the steam supplying means, sterilized with steam at a higher temperature than a temperature in the thawing process, decompressed with the decompressing means, cooled and restored in pressure to atmospheric pressure.
