PURPOSE: To provide a stitching apparatus in which the air existed between a plurality of bonded rubber members laminated and wound on a molding drum is effectively removed when the member is stitched in a tire molding and no unnecessary deformation is simultaneously imparted to the member.

CONSTITUTION: A stitching apparatus for a tire molding machine press bonds a plurality of banded rubber members 2 laminated and wound on the molding drum 1 of the machine. The vacuum type stitching apparatus comprises a hollow vessel 3 opened at one end, sealed at the other end, and moved to a position for enclosing the drum 1 from the side position of the drum 1, sealing means 15 for sealing the one end 4 of the vessel 3 enclosing the drum 1, sucking means 13 for sucking the air in the vessel 3 sealed at one end 4, and a press-bonding roll disposed in the vessel 3 to press bond the member 2.
