Abstract:
To provide a method for classifying and quantitating, a transition metal element included in a transition metal compound or a salt thereof for each valence.SOLUTION: There is provided a valence classification quantitation method of a transition metal element comprising: a preparation step for preparing a measurement sample which includes, a transition metal compound including a transition metal element which may take a plurality of oxidation numbers and is stabilized when the oxidation number is lowest, or a salt of the transition metal compound; an adjustment step for, mixing the measurement sample, a solvent, a halide acid or a salt thereof and thionic acids, for dissolving the measurement samples, for isolating a simple halogen by an oxidation reduction reaction of the transition metal element which exists in a format in which the transition metal element has a higher oxidation number higher than an oxidation number at which the transition metal element is stabilized in the measurement sample and the halide acid or the salt thereof, and performing the oxidation reduction reaction of the simple halogen and the thionic acids for acquiring a reaction solution; and a first quantitation step for, on the basis of a content of the thionic acids left in the reaction solution, quantitating the transition metal element which exists in the high oxidation number format.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
