Abstract:
To provide a valerolactone compound having a woody aroma and coumarine like sweet aroma simultaneously, a method for producing the same and a perfume composition containing the valerolactone compound.
This valerolactone compound is expressed by formula (I) (wherein, R1, R2 are each independently H, methyl or ethyl; R3 is H or methyl; and R4 is propyl, 1-propenyl or phenyl, except for a case that R1 and R2 are simultaneously H). Also, the valerolactone compound is expressed by formula (II), and the perfume composition contains the valerolactone compounds.
