Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent noise generation by having a primary piston rub against a primary rocker arm and attaching a timing metal engaged with the primary piston to the primary rocker arm. CONSTITUTION:Primary, secondary and third rocker arms 7, 8 and 9 are axially mounted on a rocker shaft 6 in order. A primary piston 16 which defines an oil pressure chamber 25 between the primary rocker arm 7 abuts said primary rocker arm 7. A timing metal 20 is attached to the primary rocker arm 7, disengaging the primary rocker arm 7 from the primary piston 16 when the primary rocker arm 7 is standing within the valve opening stroke. The smooth engagement and the disengagement with respect to the rocker arms may be performed accurately so that noise can be prevented from generating.
