PURPOSE: To improve the safety and quick response by arranging a manual operating section for rotary driving a valve rod through a plurality of gears below an automatic operating section comprising a fluid cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: An automatic operating section 54 pushes up upper and lower pistons 80, 79 through pressure of air fed from an air chamber 83 during open- valve operation. Consequently, a valve rod comprising a threaded rod 57 lifts up a valve body thus opening a valve. During close-valve operation, the upper piston 80 is pushed down by the pressure of air fed into an air chamber 90. When a handle 75 in a manual operating section 53 provided below the automatic operating section 54 is rotated, a slide pipe 61 is moved up and down through a drive spiral gear and a driven spiral gear 69.
