Abstract:
PURPOSE:To achieve automatic control of valve disposed in foaming-liquid transporting pipe, by forming a window in the side wall for transmitting light beam, converting light transmitted through the window into an electric signal, and controlling the valve for transporting unfiltered beer by use of said electric signal. CONSTITUTION:Lower end of cylindrical glass member 11 is fitted in a portion of main valve 23, whereas upper end of member 11 is fitted in upper cover 13. A window 15 is formed in the detector body. A light source unit 16 is fixed at the position of one window, and a photoelectric converting unit 17 is fixed at the position of another window. A guide member 26 is provided at the inlet on the side of left tank 1, so that unfiltered beer introduced flows across the center of light beam 21 after it is once guided upward. Here, if it contains bubbles, they float up rapidly. When amount of gas contained in beer is increased and transmittivity of light is lowered by the froth of beer produced in the detector assembly, control signal is produced from an electric circuit to close main valve 25 within 1-2 seconds.
