Abstract:
A dispensing closure (1) to be inserted into a container neck (3) comprises
a plug body (23) having a central fluid passage and a peripheral air passage,
a flexible elastic diaphragm (22) arranged in a recess of the plug body (23) to cover the fluid passage and the air passage, and
a plug cap (21) for sealing the diaphragm on the plug body, and having slots (21c) aligned with the air passage of the plug body and a central orifice (21d) aligned with the fluid passage thereof. The diaphragm (22) comprises a first and a second valve section, the first being a normally closed valve (22d) having a slit-type central orifice (22a) for sealing the central fluid passage of the plug body (23), the second valve section being an normally closed umbrella-type valve (22b) and sealing the one or more slots of the plug cap (21).
