Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve device and an internal combustion engine capable of preventing the situation where a valve body becomes unable to shield a valve seat due to attachments by removing the attachments attached between the valve seat and the valve body by rubbing the valve seat and the valve body against each other, and capable of controlling a flow rate of exhaust gas correctly.SOLUTION: A valve device includes: a valve cylinder 11 having an opening 10b in which exhaust gas after combustion passes; a valve seat 12 provided at the opening 10b; a valve body 13 for shielding and opening the opening 10b; a valve shaft 14 in which the valve body 13 is fixed; a driving device 15 for moving the valve shaft 14 to an axial direction so that the valve body 13 is separated from the valve seat 12; and a spring 16 for energizing the valve shaft 14 in the axial direction so that the valve body 13 comes into contact with the valve seat 12. The valve body is configured by having a movement conversion part 20 for, when the valve shaft 14 moves to the axial direction by the driving device 15 or the spring 16, converting a part of linear movement of the valve shaft 14 into rotational movement, rotating the valve shaft 14 around the shaft and rubbing the valve body 13 and the valve seat 12 against each other.
