To provide a valve device of simple structure capable of suppressing the generation of self-exciting vibration in a valve element.
The valve device includes: a valve casing 10 constituted to be continued in a direction where an upstream flow passage 11 at a fluid inlet side and a downstream flow passage 12 at a fluid outlet side cross each other through a valve chamber 13 and including a valve seat 15 formed to be gradually increased in diameter as it goes downstream in an opening 11a of the upstream flow passage 11 of a partition 14 partitioning the valve chamber 13; a valve element 20 provided with an annular seal part 21 capable of seating on the valve seat 15 and constituted to move forward and backward relative to the valve seat 15; and an exciting force reducing means 30 for reducing an exciting force applied from fluid F to the valve element 20.
