Provided is a valve device including: a spool valve having a first portion disposed along a central axis extending in an axial direction and a second portion extending from the first portion to one side in the axial direction; an oil passage body having an oil passage through which oil flows and a spool valve hole that opens at least on one side in the axial direction and extends in the axial direction, the spool valve being disposed inside the spool valve hole so as to be movable in the axial direction; a magnet fixed to the spool valve; a magnetic sensor that is attached to the oil passage body and detects the magnetic field of the magnet; an elastic member that is disposed on one side in the axial direction of the first portion within the spool hole and applies an elastic force to the first portion toward the other side in the axial direction; and a support member that is attached to the oil passage body and that supports the end of the elastic member on one side in the axial direction in the spool hole. The second portion has an opposing portion that opposes the support member in a circumferential direction of the central axis and is contactable with the support member.
